Our Vision
Our vision of acquiring a space where our women can gather as a community and we can offer an expanded set of services has become a reality. Little did we know back in 2003 that this program would grow so quickly – as of January 2009, our program has served over 1000 families!
Support Groups: We have formed support groups that meet after the Group Education classes. These groups are peer led and participant focused. The opportunity to have a mentorship with another mother is now possible.
Prenatal Yoga: Doula Lana now has a beautiful space from which to teach expectant mothers prenatal yoga.
Incentive Closet: The infant and maternity closet is onsite. Mothers can earn “shopping trips” for the closet by meeting with their doula and attending Education classes.
Creating a Sense of Community: For those mom’s who desire, we will hold Blessing Way Ceremonies to further enforce the sense of community. It is our belief that if we celebrate life with these families, they can be empowered to parent successfully.
