Everyday Miracles, as stated in our mission statement, strives to provide compassionate, culturally aware support and a nonjudgmental, welcoming community. This includes the usage of inclusive language in our classes. We look forward to welcoming all of you, and your babies, into our community!

CONCEPTOS BASICOS DEL RECIEN NACIDO: Esta clase discutirá los comportamientos de los recién nacidos para ayudar a los padres a descifrar los diferentes llantos de sus recién nacidos. También aborda las diferentes señales: sueño, hambre y saciedad. ¡La inscripción incluye una persona de apoyo!
LACTANCIA 101: ¡Aprenda cómo lograr que la lactancia tenga el mejor comienzo! En esta clase integral, discutiremos cómo funciona la lactancia y cómo hacerla lo más cómoda y efectiva desde el primer agarre. Las familias también aprenderán cómo crear un sólido sistema de apoyo para ayudarles a alcanzar sus propios objetivos de lactancia. These general childbirth education workshops are typically between 90 minutes and 2 hours in length. Great for new parents expecting their first child or veteran parents who are looking for a refresher on specific information.

LABOR & BIRTH BASICS 1: This class will cover the nuts and bolts of labor and birth. You will learn about the stages of labor, hormones involved in the labor and birth process, and basic birth mechanics. Registration includes a support person, should you choose to bring one (they are welcome and encouraged, but not required!).
LABOR & BIRTH BASICS 2: This class builds on the information presented in Labor & Birth Basics I. We will cover common pain medications and interventions that you may encounter during birth, so that you can make the most informed decisions possible. You will also learn about different comfort measures (positions, massage techniques and tools) to help support you during your birth journey. Because this class covers both medical/pharmacological interventions AND non-medical coping strategies, it's an appropriate and informative class to take no matter what kind of birth you are planning for. Registration includes a support person, should you choose to bring one (they are welcome and encouraged, but not required!).
BIRTH TOOLBOX: This class is a combination of Labor & Birth 1/2 Basics crafted into one condensed course. Preparation and tools can help you have a more empowered birth. This class will teach families some of our favorite doula "tricks and tools" to support your birth including breathing practices, massage techniques, positions and more. A very hands-on interactive class that is appropriate for families planning an unmedicated birth AND those open to medication. Registration includes a support person, should you choose to bring one (they are welcome and encouraged, but not required!).
PLANNING YOUR BEST BIRTH: Not sure where to start when coming up with your birth preferences? Join us as we go over all the different options you have surrounding your birth and creating your personalized birth guide. This class will help bring clarity to your doula meetings, or your personal process, as you go over scenarios, comfort measures, interventions and other important options for birth and immediate postpartum. Registration includes a support person, should you choose to bring one (they are welcome and encouraged, but not required!).
PLANNING AN UNMEDICATED BIRTH: Participating in any intense physical event - whether it's a marathon or giving birth - requires planning and preparation. If your goal is to give birth without medication, this is the class for you! We will focus on practical strategies and tools to consider in your pregnancy to support your plan to birth with minimal interventions. You will get the most from this class earlier in your pregnancy, but you are welcome to attend at any point. Also great for those planning a pregnancy. Registration includes a support person, should you choose to bring one (they are welcome and encouraged, but not required!).
MINDFUL BIRTH BASICS: This workshop integrates elements of traditional yoga and meditation practices, mindfulness-based stress reduction and childbirth preparation, to help birthing parents cultivate a regular practice, learn practical skills for coping in labor, cultivate a sense of calm, build confidence, and enhance bonding with baby in pregnancy and beyond. Registration includes a support person, should you choose to bring one (they are welcome and encouraged, but not required!).
WHEN BIRTH BECOMES COMPLICATED: Sometimes birth involves a little more than we’d aim for. Come and learn about some of the complications that can happen during birth. This class will empower you to take these turns fully educated and prepared. We’ll cover some of the more common digressions that can happen in birth. These include Inductions, Stalled Labor, Assisted Delivery, and Cesarean/Surgical Births. All topics will be covered in a positive and practical attitude to fully equip all attendants for their birth. Registration includes a support person, should you choose to bring one (they are welcome and encouraged, but not required!).

POSTPARTUM BASICS: This period is sometimes referred to as "the fourth trimester." It's an important, but sometimes overlooked, period of time in the pregnancy year. Learn about what to expect physically and emotionally, as well as how to best care for yourself during weeks and months following the birth of your baby. Registration includes a support person, should you choose to bring one (they are welcome and encouraged, but not required!).
FEEDING YOUR GROWING FAMILY: Money is tight, so let’s talk about how to maximize your family’s nutrition given your budget, cultural values, and family dynamics. This class is unique because you will learn how to have a colorful, balanced diet that supports you during pregnancy, postpartum, and takes everyone in the house into consideration. By the end of the class, you will understand how to reclaim your plate, body, and birth. All body sizes are welcome in this class. Every participant gets access to a WIC guide created by Tricia
NEWBORN BASICS: This class will discuss newborn behaviors to help parents decipher the different cries of their newborn. It also touches on the different cues -sleep, hunger and fullness. Registration includes a support person, should you choose to bring one (they are welcome and encouraged, but not required!).
VBAC BASICS: Have you had a previous cesarean birth and are thinking about a VBAC? This is the class for you! Join us as we cover all the basics in this evidence based centered class that will empower you to advocate for yourself and make the decisions that are best for you in your birth journey! Registration includes a support person, should you choose to bring one (they are welcome and encouraged, but not required!).
LACTATION CLASSES
LACTATION 101: Learn how to get lactation off to the best start! In this comprehensive class, we will discuss how lactation works as well as how to make it as comfortable and effective from the first latch. Families will also learn how to create a strong support system to help them meet their own lactation goals. Your registration includes a support person, should you choose to bring one (they are welcome and encouraged, but not required!).
LACTATION: BEYOND THE BASICS: This class is designed to help give you support and information to help successfully maintain lactating. Beyond the basics, this class will focus on troubleshooting common issues, supplementing, pumping, maintaining your supply and when to seek out help, and resources available. Registration includes a support person, should you choose to bring one (they are welcome and encouraged, but not required!).
PUMPING BASICS: Grow your confidence with this class specifically devoted to pumping. In other lactation classes, we only scratch the surface, but now we can explore the positives, perils, and potentials of pumping. Class structure will assume that parents are intending to feed directly when possible and pump when necessary. However, ideally everything will be adaptable to your specific situation and choices, whether exclusively, regularly, or rarely pumping. Your registration includes a support person, should you choose to bring one (they are welcome and encouraged, but not required!).
SPECIALTY CLASSES
SPINNING BABIES® BIRTH PREPARATION CLASS
Spinning Babies® Birth Preparation Class is a three hour, hands-on course in which we:
Learn how your baby “spins” and rotates through the pelvis during birth.
Learn about your basic birth anatomy.
Get practice and guidance learning activities that provide comfort in pregnancy and ease in labor.
Are empowered to ask and understand “Where’s Baby” in both your pregnancy and labor.
Learn about positions in labor that help make space for your baby and can ease the labor process
Who should take this class:
Any pregnant people between 20 and 41 weeks of pregnancy
If you currently have a baby who is breech or transverse
If your previous labor was long
If you are considering a VBAC, especially if your cesarean may have been due to baby’s position.
If you’re considering unmedicated or medicated birth
This class is for expectant parents only. Birth professionals are referred to the Spinning Babies Workshop*.

BREATH FOR BIRTH
Breath for Birth is a class where you learn:
How to use your breath to work with you core canister and learn how you can create space using different breath techniques.
Several different breath sequences which can be used in early, active and the pushing phase of your birth journey.
How to reset the nervous system by using breath as a coping mechanism and the different types of breath to use during the different phases.
How to use the diaphragm and pelvic floor to assist in encouraging your baby to move and make their way into your arms.
This class is for expectant parents only. Birth professionals are referred to the Breath for Birthworkers Workshop*.

INFANT AND CHILD CPR AND FIRST AID (NOT FOR CERTIFICATION)
Infant and Child CPR/First Aid will prepare individuals to respond to emergencies:

Choking
Basic first aid
Participants will practice hands-on CPR and choking relief techniques using mannikins and explore strategies for prevention. This safety class is recommended for anyone who will care for your infant/child. Each attendee needs their own registration.
YOGA CLASSES
PRENATAL YOGA: Pregnancy is the perfect time to begin or continue a yoga practice. Regular practice can help keep the body strong and flexible and alleviate many common discomforts of pregnancy, encourage bonding with baby, help cultivate focus and mindfulness that will help you through challenges and transitions of pregnancy, birth and parenthood and give you community and support of other birthing parents.
